Another week, another favorite.
When trying to decide on a favorite I usually think about what make up products I have been reaching for the most. However, this week I tried to think a little outside of the box (or drawer, if you will) and wanted to give credit to Bumble & Bumble’s Sunday Shampoo.
I am convinced, some women are make up women and others are hair women. Not to say that you either do your make up or your hair, but I find that women tend to favor & spend more time, and money on one or the other. I am obviously a makeup person. Have I even mentioned hair in this blog? Unlikely. And I probably won’t very often since my hair is always a second thought. BUT I do have a shampoo I can’t live without. It’s the Bumble & Bumble Sunday Shampoo.
I first heard about this shampoo when watching 2015 Beauty Favorite videos on YouTube. As always, I ran to Sephora and got it. It is described as “a weekly detox for product junkies or infrequent washers” and claims to “rid hair of residues, hard water minerals and pollutants”.
similar the same as a clarifying shampoo. It leaves your hair literally squeaky clean. I only wash my hair about twice a week (eeewww many of you will say) so this shampoo is perfect to leave my hair perfectly clean. If you wash your hair more regularly, I would only use it once a week or so. You don’t even realize how much product builds on your hair until you use this. I find that even thought it leaves my hair ultra clean, it doesn’t dry out my hair. Plus, I seem to be able to go even longer in between washes when I use this.
Plus, if we are being honest, with the amount of dry shampoo I apply, I need a detox shampoo 🙂
And for those of you wondering/reeling on why I wash my hair twice a week, I’ll leave some links about this down below from other bloggers who have addressed the topic. If you are washing your hair daily “because I have to” you really should reconsider. Similar to your skin, the more you strip it from it’s natural oils and moisture, the more oil it is going to produce to compensate.
