As much as I love monthly favorites posts, I am not sure I can commit to gathering a whole bucket full of products to write about each month. Plus knowing myself, the posts would be way too long. So instead of monthly favorites, I’ll be doing one or two weekly favorites. And it will include only one product I have been loving. Hopefully this will be much more manageable.
So to kick off the series, I will start with an item I recently repurchased and have mentioned a few times on this blog: The Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist (what a mouthful). This is a coconut water refreshing facial spray design to hydrate and tone the skin. The 2oz bottle is $16 and the 4oz bottle is $32. You can find them at Urban Outfitters, online at Sephora (although it is constantly sold out) or the Herbivore Botanical Website.
When I mentioned this in a product empties recently I said that while using this spray my skin was surprisingly clear. As soon as I ran out, I started breaking out again.
Even though I loved it, I didn’t immediately repurchase it as I already have an array of facial sprays. But after battling several breakouts I said no more and bought not one, but two of these sprays.
I think I finally figured out why it helps keep my breakouts under control, this spray has Aloe Vera and Lactobacillus Ferment.
Aloe Vera has salicylic acid which is one of the most common ingredients used to treat and prevent acne.
Lactobacillus Ferment is a probiotic that acts as an antimicrobial (primarily I assume to preserve the spray since it does not have any other preservatives).
Usually I will use this spray all over my face after cleansing but before moisturizer, but if my skin is being a b, I will also use it throughout the day to calm my skin. I can’t get enough of this spray.
Also, this product is made without parabens, sulfates and phalates and it is not tested on animals 🙂
