Hi Everyone! I know I’m all over the place with posts lately but bear with me while I get back on track. Usually I’ll post weekly favorites on Tuesdays, but between the holidays and studying for the Project Management Professional Exam I’m sorta winging it over here. I’m hoping to get back to my regular schedule next week. Anyways, for today’s weekly favorite I am talking about the Trubeauty 107 brush.
I really hesitated about writing this post because I can’t find this product online. BUT, I love it so much that I have to share and hope that you can find it in stores. I found the Trubeauty brush (#107) at Marshall’s of all places.
Usually when I go to Marshall’s or TJ Maxx I head over to the beauty section to look for props for my pictures. These aren’t products I actually use, they just hang out in a box by my picture spot. When I saw this brush, I thought I would just use it as a prop. It looks just like the super expensive Artis brushes so I figured it would be a nice addition to my pictures.
Of course when I got home I decided to try it (so much for using it as a prop).
Why I Love It?
+ The shape of the #107 brush (almost like the size of a thumb) is perfect for the under-eye area. It is SO EASY to apply concealer with this brush! It glides perfectly in the under-eye area and even along the tear duct area which is hard to get to.
+ The brush is so, so dense that it doesn’t steal any of the product. I find myself needing to apply less concealer when I use this versus any other brush or even the beauty blender.
+ Somehow this brush gives me a super pore-less look. I usually drag my concealer down to the sides of my nose. This also happens to be where my pores are the most visible. Somehow, the finish after using this brush is pore-less.
+ I lost my receipt so I can’t be 100% sure but this brush was either $4.99 or $7.99 which is awesome for makeup brushes.
+ Does not leave behind ANY brush lines
+ I used to think that the only way to get a flawless under eye concealer application is using a damp sponge. However, the results from using this brush are just as good! It’s 100 times better than any other brush I used AND just as good as using a sponge in terms of results. As a plus, this is less hassle than using a damp sponge.
What I Don’t Like About It?
+ As I mentioned earlier, this isn’t available online (or at least that I could find) so you would have to search your local Marshall’s.
+ I tried using the brush for foundation but didn’t get good results. Maybe it’s too dense for foundation?
Overall I LOVE this brush. I am so glad I picked up and it seems like a miracle worker for the price. I’ve also washed it a few times and it has not shed a single bristle. I’ll be going back to Marshall’s to get some of the other sizes.
Do yourself a favor and look for it in the beauty section of Marshalls or TJ Maxx next time you are there!
