As always, I’m incredibly excited to share this week’s favorite. I know I’m inconsistent with these, however, I only share products I’m truly loving. And there may be a week (or a few weeks) I don’t have anything to share. Such is life. But, today I’m sharing my love for the BMC Silicone Beauty Palette Rings.
After attending the Makeup Training Academy, I’ve been playing with my makeup much more often. I’ve felt less inhibited mixing products, using color theory and experimenting. I initially bought a stainless steel mixing palette and spatula. However, it was pretty annoying to use. The surface is so flat that it’s hard to pick up. I also found it hard to hold while working with my other hand. And this is totally first world problems but all the clanking of the steel really annoyed me.
A few months ago I read a post on The Skinny Confidential about a wrist palette so I set out to find something similar. My search led to the BMC Silicone Beauty Palette rings on Amazon. You get two (yes, two!) rings for $6.99 and it’s an Amazon Prime item.
Why I Love Them
+ The price is great considering you get two palettes
+ They literally have rings at the bottom so you put it on as a ring. I can still use the same hand to hold brushes or pick things up while having my palette on.
+ The beauty palette’s are silicone so they’re easy to clean. I keep a little bottle with alcohol and my vanity. I’ll spritz them with alcohol and wipe with a tissue. You can also wash them with soap and water.
+ The size is pretty ideal for mixing. You can set you base item in the little round crevice (like your foundation) and mix with other colors in the rest of the space. I’ve been mixing my concealer with a little peach for under the eyes. I’ll also darken or lighten my foundation depending on my self tanner situation.
+ If I’m using a brush to apply foundation, I can pump my foundation on the palette and tap the brush here instead of the back of my hands.
+ They’re super cute
+ These palette’s are truly multipurpose – you can use it to mix creams, makeup, pigments, to tap powder out of a container, to mix lip colors, etc
For $6.99 these rings are such a useful tool to have in your collection. Think about how many times you’ve stained your clothes from makeup that’s on the back of your hand? Or how many times you end up pouring something on your hand to tap your brush into? It’s really not the best method. Plus, if all else fails, they’re cute to have around.
