Another week, another favorite! And, it’s a favorite I’ve been wanting to share since the first time I tried it. But, I decided I needed to test out for at least a couple of weeks before jumping the gun. I’m talking about the Kiko Kiss Balm. I picked this up during our trip for Thanksgiving. When I first walked into the Kiko store in Venice, I was a little overwhelmed with all the products. I hadn’t done enough research and I wasn’t expecting so much! I decided to just wait until we were in Rome to give me time to do a few searches. However, as I was walking out I noticed the Kiko Kiss Balm. I didn’t bring a lip balm with me so I figured I would just buy the one thing. Each balm cost 5.90 Euros which is roughly $6 and change.
*Before I start raving about this product I want to disclaim that this is not currently sold in the US. For some reason, it’s not even listed in the Kiko US site. I could only find it on the Kiko site for other countries 🙁 But, I love this so much and I am hoping one day soon it will be sold on the US sites! Also if any of my lovely readers are in Europe or going on a Europe trip you can stock up.
As usual, I opened the tube as soon as I got out of the store and tried it. I literally turned around and bought five more for all my friends.
What I like About It:
+ The formula is just as moisturizing as a lip balm but the color is enough to replace a lipstick. I used to live for Maybelline’s Baby Lips formula, but now it’s all about this Kiko balms. They are more moisturizing and soothing for dry lips & the color payoff is much better.
+ It smells so, so good!
+ The color of the Raspberry and Blackberry shades is really nice for day to day. Plus it’s sheer enough not to require a mirror.
+ There is SPF 15 in it which is pretty unusual for a lipstick (or even a lip balm). Perfect for sunny days.
+ The formula is hypoallergenic and paraben free.
+These lip balms are extremely affordable.
What I don’t like About It:
+ This is so petty but the only thing I don’t like is that there aren’t deeper shades in the line (Blackberry is the darkest)
So, if you happen to come across this product, do yourself a favor and pick it up!
