I’m on a roll with weekly favorites guys! I honestly thought by this point I would have dropped the ball. But thankfully, for your literary enrichment (since I know that’s why you are all here) I have a lot to say.
This week’s favorite is the awesome $6 Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Radiant Lights.
I ordered this highlighter a few weeks ago after I started writing a drugstore favorites post and realized that I didn’t have a single drugstore highlighter. Naturally I went online to do a little research and settled on this one.
Why I love it?
+ The color is a beautiful cool-toned pearlescent white/lilac shade.
+ The finish of this is very subdued compared to other highlighters so it actually looks a lot more natural.
+ The formula is very soft and blendable and could be used as an eye shadow.
+ The lasting power is comparable to any high end highlighter.
+ It’s $6. My favorite highlighter of all time by Becca (here) is $38 and although this one doesn’t replace my Becca highlighter, it has a special place in my top makeup drawer.
Swatches: On the left is Makeup Revolution’s Radiant Lights. On the right is TheBalm’s Mary Lou Manizer.
Is this the best highlighter I have ever tried? No, it’s not. But I didn’t have any other highlighters with a shade quite like this (all of mine are in the champagne/peach range). I also didn’t have any highlighters that are as subtle as this one so I actually find myself using it on lighter makeup days.
This would be great for someone who wants to get into the world of highlighters without spending a fortune. Plus they have this formula in two other shades at Ulta.
