Christmas? Black Friday? My Birthday? All pish posh compared to the one and only Sephora VIB sale. As many of you may know, Sephora only holds two sales per year: the Spring 15% off sale and the Fall 20% sale. That’s a whole 20% every single brand at Sephora (except Colour Pop apparently). I’ve been holding back and waiting for months to make all my purchases.
If you’ve been reading a while, you know I’ve done some sale picks here and here. However, since the sale started last Friday, I’ve already put in 3… yes THREE different orders. So, instead of sharing my picks, I’m sharing what I’ve actually purchased this time around. The sale and codes are below:
VIB ROUGE 20% OFF – Nov 3rd-6th & Nov 10th-15th – code: 20FORROUGE
VIB 20% OFF – Nov 10th-15th – code: 20FORVIB
BEAUTY INSIDER 15% OFF – Nov 10th-15th – code: INSIDER15
Belif Aqua Bomb – I know this is expensive, but I’ve concluded this is a really great moisturizer. It was all I used day and night during our Ireland/Iceland trip. Even though it was cold and windy, my skin felt hydrated the entire time. Since the Texas “winter” is coming, I figured I should stock up on a jar.
Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb – Given how much I’ve enjoyed the Aqua Bomb moisturizer lately, I want to give the eye cream version a try. I also really like that all Belif products are paraben, sulfate and phalate free. It’s hard to find all of those with a lot of skin care lines.
Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner – I’ve been looking for a hydrating toner with simple ingredients for a while now. Something I can use after work to freshen up my face without having to wash it again. This Fresh toner has really good reviews and the ingredient deck is pretty clean.
Bite Everyday Agave Lip Mask – In another surprising twist with my skin issues, my lips have been really dry lately. I’ve never really had this problem before so all my usual lip balms aren’t cutting it. Even if I apply something before going to bed, my lips are super dry and tight by morning. For a couple of years now I’ve heard people rave about this Bite Lip Mask. However, since I didn’t have particularly dry lips, I couldn’t justify the price. This time around – I got it. Hoping it can at least last through the night.
Sephora Collection Face Masks – These weren’t on my purchase list. They were my impulse buy in store. I recalled someone raving about the Rose face mask so I ended up picking up one of the face masks and one of the rose eye masks. I actually tried the eye mask last night and liked it so much that I put in an order with some more. Most eye pads irritate my eyes, but despite the large size of these, I left them on the entire time, and my eyes were not irritated at all.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo & Conditioner – What can I say? this is my favorite shampoo/conditioner combo of all time. The only reason I don’t use it all the time is the price. I’m taking advantage of the sale and purchased the giant bottles.
Tangle Teezer – Yes, I already have one of these. I’m pretty sure I bought it during last year’s VIB sale. So why do you need another one you may ask? Well… he’s going to kill me, but my husband stole it for himself. He loves that thing and took it to the bathroom downstairs where he gets ready. I need it back so I bought another one for him.
Sephora Favorites Blowdry Creams – I’ve been blow drying and curling my hair more often now that it’s cooler. Since I don’t have a lot of hair products hanging around I’ve just been using mousse and a dry oil before blow drying. I’m pretty sure I need to be using some sort of heat protectant. Since I don’t already have one I love, I got this little set with 6 different ones to try. If you have any recommendations, please leave them down below.
Korres 24 Hour Deodorant – How many times could I possibly talk about deodorant on the blog? I don’t know, but here I go again… I still refuse to use deodorant or antiperspirant with aluminum. However, most aluminum free deodorants aren’t as effective as traditional deodorants. As such, my quest to find the best continues. I’m still using the Lavanila Healthy Deodorant, but I want to have a few alternatives in the rotation.
Sephora Collection Foot & Hand Masks – I can’t even remember the last time I got a mani/pedi. I never find a good time to go, and sometimes I can’t justify the price. With the discount, these foot and hand masks are $4 each. You leave them on 20 minutes and are left with baby soft limbs. I actually tried both last night and loved them.
Korres Body Butter in Yogurt Scent – I initially thought I would get a refill of the Bum Bum cream during the sale. However, during the planning phase (yes, there was a planning phase for the sale) I decided to look for other body butters. As per usual, I started the search by filtering for body butters without yucky ingredients. This Korres Body Butter has a giant list of ingredients it’s formulated without. No parabens, sulfates, phalates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, etc. Although it doesn’t smell as nice as the Bum Bum cream, I actually really like the clean, yogurt smell.
IT Cosmetics CC + Illumination Cream – Yes, I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten a tub of IT Cosmetics CC Cream during any and all Sephora or Ulta sales. It’s my most used foundation for the last 2-3 years. This time around, I’m giving the illumination version of it a whirl. Here’s to hoping my face won’t be oily this fall/winter so I can actually use this without setting it with powder.
Bite Beauty The Perfect Bite Lipstick Set – Similar to most of my makeup products, I don’t think I’ll ever use enough lipstick to go through entire tubes. This little Bite set comes with four mini of their Amuse Bouche lipsticks in really wearable shades. I’ll get to try four different colors and possible even use them up instead of having them expire on me.
Confession? There is actually more items I bought, but I can’t possibly keep writing. Some items I’ve mentioned during other sales or favorites, so I figure it’s safe to keep them out. Also, I bought quite a few gift sets as Christmas gifts for my friends and don’t want to ruin the surprise.
What have you gotten from the sale? Are you shopping for yourself or prepping for the Holidays?
