It’s the most wonderful time of year! And by that, I mean it’s time for the Sephora VIB Sale which warrants a special post. Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that Sephora usually has a 20% off code for it’s VIB members. In order to be a VIB, you have to be a part of the Beauty Insiders (it’s free to sign up) and you must have spent $350 or more within the calendar year. For those of us who are insane and have made it to the next level (VIB Rouge) we get early access to the sale from Nov 4th-7th. Although it hasn’t been announced, the VIB sale will probably be a few days after that. And so, for this magical occasion I am sharing my Sephora VIB Sale Picks. I’ve had most of these items in my cart for a couple of months just waiting to get my code. Unfortunately I don’t believe the code will work online unless your status is actually VIB or VIB Rouge. BUT, if you know someone who is either, a guest can use the code in stores as long as the VIB member is present.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream $38
What a shocker right? This will be my 4th tube of this which is insane considering I have 6 other foundations. This is just my go to every day foundation. It is full coverage, has a demi-matte/satin finish, has 50 SPF and it looks good if I just slather it up with my fingers. Plus the tube with a pump packaging is GENIUS. I should just buy it in bulk.
Drunk Elephant AHA Kit $96
To be expected as well. I’ve thoroughly discussed my love for two Drunk Elephant Products here and here. I particularly appreciate these Holiday kits since they come with a full size product plus some mini’s that I can use for travel. I bought the same kit a month ago and during last years sale. The Glycolic Acid Serum is the best for congested skin while the Hydration Gel is one of the most versatile skin care products I’ve ever owned. Refer to my older posts linked above for more info.
Tangle Teezer The Original Detangling Hairbrush $15
I’ve heard so much about this hairbrush over the past few months that I just need to try it myself. I actually picked it out as part of my sister’s birthday gift last month and she loves it. The girl hated brushing her hair so much that she didn’t own a brush… she just used her fingers. So if she loves it, it has to be special.
First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy AM Gel Cream $36
For months I’ve been using this eye cream by Kiehl’s that I like. However, it comes in a little pot which I hate. I don’t like dipping my fingers into pots so I always have to pull a cotton swab to get a little out and I just find that annoying. While looking for a new eye cream my first criteria was that it has to come in a tube or with a pump. I love this First Aid Beauty eye area product so I figure I’ll give this AM Gel Cream a shot. It has pretty good reviews on Sephora.com.
The Original BeautyBlender $20
Yes, I am well aware that I have a giant collection of sponges. But there are some days that I just prefer the BeautyBlender. Although there are many sponges that compare (like the dupe I discussed here), there is just something about the original. My older one finally bit the dust. It looks more pale pink than bright neon pink at this point and it’s not as bouncy. A 20% off sale seems like the perfect time to replace it.
Phyto Hair & Nails Dietary Supplement $60
I know, $60 for vitamins, so insane. But, I’ve done a lot of research on these and read reviews at Sephora, Ulta and on Amazon. Unfortunately, I lost quite a bit of hair due to my PCOS so I’m a little desperate to see if I can encourage it to grow a little fuller. I already bought one bottle of these on Amazon but they recommend taking it at least 4 months for results. With the 20% it would be $48 for a 2 month supply. Stay tuned as these may show up in a favorites or a beauty fails post. It could go either way at this point.
Dry Bar Merry Mini Must-Haves $29
Last but not least, due to said hair issues, I’ve been a big fan of texturizing sprays lately. I wrote all about Dry Bar’s Triple Sec here. Since we’ll be doing some traveling for the Holidays I figured I would get another travel sized of that. This set comes with the Triple Sec texturizer, a small dry shampoo (which I also like) and a dry conditioner. I’ve never tried the dry conditioner but I am intrigued by the idea. A small one is good as a trial.
What are some of your Sephora VIB Sale picks? Are you using this opportunity to try new items or stocking up on staples? I’m mostly taking a stocking up strategy here. Also, is anyone else shocked that not one of these is a makeup item? I am. What is happening to me?
