I wanted to do quick post today to share a few recent Target purchases. This isn’t a full on review as I have just started using these items. But if anyone is interested, I will do a full on review post later. Anyways…. on to today’s post:
I ran out of my Honest body wash & lotion this week (stay tuned for a product empties post coming soon) so I was looking to try something new. I have been trying to be more conscious of the ingredients in the products I use.
I know that with my love of make up and beauty products I won’t always be able to avoid some shady ingredients, but I figured I would start by using more natural body products. If you think about it, your body wash and lotion go on a much larger area than something like blush or concealer.
While browsing at Target I saw that the Yes To Brand products were on sale. I then looked on the Cartwheel app and saw that there was an additional 20% off so I went with the Say Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Body Wash and the Yes to Carrots Body Lotion. They both have a pump and are paraben, petroleum and SLS free. These ended up costing $7.19 each (original price was $9.99 each). I’ve tried a few other items from this brand which I have liked so hopefully these will work out.
My last purchase was of course a makeup item. Every time I go to Target I have to walk through the makeup aisles to ease my FOMO with makeup. I had a 10% off coupon for Wet N Wild so I decided to go for the Megaglo Contouring Palette in Caramel Toffee. I have more than enough contours/highlighters but I figured I would test this one out as a drugstore alternative. With my coupon it ended up being $4.49 and the pans on both shades are giant. You get a matte banana shade and a matte bronzer shade.
I need to test it out some more but based on a few swatches I noticed that the bronzer/contour is a very warm shade so it may work best as an all over bronzer vs. a contour. Both shades also had a lot of fall out so be careful when opening them up.
Thanks for reading!
