Two months later I’m finally going to round up all the Kiko products I bought in Italy. I wasn’t sure if it was even worth doing a round up since I bought these aboard. But, there are Kiko stores in L.A., Vegas, NY, D.C, etc. Plus, you can order them online and there is free shipping for orders over $15. So, given the relative accessibility I figured I should do a quick love, like, dislike list.
I try to avoid talking about multiple products in one post since I tend to be a talker. So, to avoid that I’m really going to try to keep it to a couple of sentences for each product.
+ Kiko Kiss Balm Lip Balm: I raved about these lip balms in this post so I’ll spare you more details. I’ll just say that I’m seriously dreading the day I run out & I know all my friends that got this as a gift feel the same.
+ Intense Colour Long Lasting Eyeliner in 04: This may be the best eye liner I’ve ever used. It glides on like a dream but then sets and stays in place all day. I’ve also used it on my waterline and it’s A+. I wish I’d gotten more colors.
+ Water Eye Shadow in Champagne: I love how this eye shadow looks when using it wet. It’s super sparkly and pigmented so it’s perfect for special occasions. I usually pick up a generous amount in a flat shader brush and then spray the brush with a little water.
+ Lasting Precious Automatic Eyeliner & Kohl in 01: The formula of this eyeliner is really nice. It glides on and is automatic so no need for sharpening. My only issue is that the nude color is a bit too light for my skin tone.
+ Smart Lip Pencil in Rose Mauve: The smart lip pencils are creamy, pigmented and last a decent amount of time. The color rose mauve also seems to be a nice base for any lip color. My only issue is that this isn’t automatic (unlike my beloved Jordana lip liners).
+ Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick in 07: Although I’m not the biggest fan of creamy eye shadows, I do like the color and formula of the 07 shade. However, it’s not pigmented enough for me to wear on it’s own so I’ve mostly been using it as an eye shadow based and topping it with the wet/dry shadow.
+ Ultra Glossy Stylo Lipstick in 811 Rasberry: These lipsticks are almost like a lipgloss in a tube. They aren’t super pigmented like a matte lipstick may be, but not as sticky as a lipgloss. As the name implies they leave a nice glossy finish. These may be perfect for people who aren’t into full on lipsticks but want something with a little color and shine.
+ Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick in 38: What? Didn’t I just say I liked these?… I do, but I mostly like the 07 shade. The #38 shade? not so much. It swatches so nicely but unfortunately doesn’t perform. The shimmer in this one is too chunky and the color isn’t pigmented enough. It’s a dud for me.
+ Volumizing Effect Mascara: I have pretty high standards when it comes to mascara. Primarily because my all time favorite mascara is $3 so I know you can get amazing quality for a good price. This mascara just didn’t do anything special for me. It did not volumize at all. I would need at least 3 coats for any noticeable effect. Ain’t nobody got time for 3 coats.
+ Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara: Gasp. Another mascara in the graveyard? Yes, unfortunately this was also a dud. I had high hopes for this mascara since Kathleen Lights has it as her ride or die mascara. That is the only reason why I got it. But, the wand on this mascara is so giant that I cannot get a single application without getting it all over my face or poking my eye. The brush is way too big for my preference and I can’t be poking my eye on the daily.
