Hi Everyone! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been around here. Actually, to be exact, it’s been two weeks haha. But, that seems like a long time considering I’d been posting 3-4 times a week since this blog started.
If you read my previous post, you know I decided to take a little break. I wasn’t feeling inspired to write and I didn’t want to post just for the sake of posting. So, I spent the last two weeks completely ignoring this space. It was strange and refreshing at the same time. Having a couple of weekends without worrying about upcoming posts was a bit of a breath of fresh air.
So, even though I feel like writing again at this point, I’m going to take the pressure off a bit. Although I’d love to have a set posting schedule, it’s just not feasible for me. I work full time so any time spent on this blog is at night or during weekends. If I keep trying to blog 3-4 times a week, I’m quickly going to burn out again.
Ultimately, I’ll post as often as I can, but if I’m silent for several days or a week, then so be it. I also need to live my life to have something to blog about.
And speaking of life, a few things that have been going on lately:
+ I bought a new camera! After one of my old lenses bit the dust, I finally decided to upgrade everything. The camera I’d been using is actually over 10 years old haha. So, I bought the Canon Rebel T6i to replace it! I’m still trying to figure things out (but at least I’m past the point of just turning it off and on when I don’t know what’s happening).
+ In a couple of weeks I’m going to Nashville to celebrate one of my best friend’s bachelorette party! Any recommendations on places to go/things to do?
+ The succulents my mom bought us 3 weeks ago are still alive. This is truly a miracle. Now we know we can keep some plants alive in this house.
+ On Saturday, the Body, Machine, Fitness studio hosted several bloggers and influencers for the first preview of the studio, smoothie bar and class. If you’ve been reading for a while, you know I’m big on class workouts. I have a Studiohop membership in Dallas which allows me to go to several different studios for workouts. I’ve been to a TON of places in Dallas, but, nothing compares to Body, Machine, Fitness. I mean, they have a lobby/lounge area complete with a smoothie/bowl bar. Their locker room has a chandelier for pete’s sake.
The class itself is a HIIT workout. You go through treadmill and floor exercise intervals. And, as if all the other stuff wasn’t enough, the class has an on site DJ and a light show. Let’s just say I got my butt kicked. Halo hands for the power smoothie waiting for me after the workout.
They aren’t open to the public just yet, but if you live in the area, you have to check them out.
I’ll be posting a little weekly favorite post this week, and I also have a product empties post in the works so stay tuned!
