Hi Everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!
I was about to write happy turkey day and then I remembered Thanksgiving won’t involve turkey anymore since I’m vegetarian haha. I sincerely doubt we’ll be eating any traditional Thanksgiving food since we are still on our trip. But, I’m not complaining, it’s kind of a relief since eating Turkey used to be my favorite part of the whole holiday.
Anyways, since today is a day to give thanks I thought I would share what I am most thankful for this year.
I’m thankful for:
+ As hard as it may be sometimes, I am thankful that I finally became a vegetarian this year and that I’ve been able to keep it up almost an entire year. Although there are so many things still left to be done to live a cruelty free life, I feel like becoming vegetarian was a huge step in the right direction.
+ My friend Hannah who inspired my choice above. She’s been a vegetarian ever since we met, but not once did she ever try to convince me or anyone to do the same. Actions truly speak louder than words. <3 you Hannah.
+ All my other friends in Dallas who have helped make this place feel like our home.
+ Tuna. Not once have I ever looked at her squishy face and not felt happy. Even when we’ve found her poop on our rug.
+ My new role at work. The flexibility and peace of mind that I have now compared to last year is truly unbelievable. There is no way this blog could have survived past the first two months if I were still in my previous role.
+ All my readers. You guys truly have no idea how happy and grateful I am ever time I see that anyone has visited my blog or a post. Thank you, thank you, you!
+ My Mom who has always been, and will always be my biggest fan. If I can count on one thing, it’s that at least my mom is reading my blog lol. At first I was so nervous that no one would read my posts and it would all be for nothing. But then I remembered that no matter what I would always have at least one loyal subscriber.
+ My Dad, my sister Sofia my brother Fernando and my sister in law Adriana. I’ve never fought and laughed so much with anyone in my life.
+ Last but not least, I am so grateful for my husband (also Fernando). I’m grateful for a husband who pulls his weight around the house, who walks our dog every single day (and twice a day on weekends so I can sleep in), who makes me coffee every morning even though he leaves for work before I even wake up, who stands around holding a white poster board while I take pictures, who supports my career, my blog… the list is infinite.
I feel so incredibly grateful and blessed for everything in my life that I could go on forever. But, today is day for family and food so I’ll cut it short here. Thank you so much for visiting today and all the days you visit.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
