What? Do your eyes deceive you? No friends, they do not. I managed to get three posts up this week which is truly a miracle. But, since I had a little time yesterday evening, I figured I could get a little Five on Friday post up today.
So, let’s get to this week’s completely random Five on Friday items:
One of my best friends is getting married tomorrow here in Dallas. Not only is the whole wedding thing exciting in itself, but, she also asked me to be her bridesmaid AND do her makeup. I’m honored (and also panicking).
To ease the nerves a bit, we did not one, but TWO bridal trials already. In theory everything should go smoothly tomorrow, but with weddings you just never know. Also, I need to figure out at what point to do my own makeup in the middle of the insanity.
I’ll probably be sharing what products we used next week on the blog. Wish me luck!
We bought Tuna a dog backback carrier.
Yes, this could have easily been a Confessional Thursday item haha.
First I want to clarify that we are not
completely insane dog people. We are well aware that this dog is perfectly capable of walking on her own, and sticking her in a dog carrier as if she is a baby would be ridiculous. However, given the Texas heat, and the fact that Tuna is a chubby pug mix, she is easily tired. So, the backpack is primarily to prevent dog heat stroke (this is a thing).
Further, we’ve noticed SO many bike rentals pop up in our neighborhood that we’ve been wanting to try. In theory, we could stick her in the backpack so she can come along.
So far we’ve only put her in there once. Good news is she didn’t seem to panic. Bad news is that she seems SUPER pissed to be in a backpack.
Last weekend we went to the movies to see Wind River and it was SO GOOD. The plot develops in the Wind River Native American Reservation in Wyoming after the body of a young Native American woman is found in the snow. An FBI agent teams up with a game tracker to solve the murder.
If you like suspense (NOT slasher film type suspense) you should check this movie out. We were glued to the screen the entire time.
Fair warning, there are a couple of pretty graphic and sexually violent scenes that were hard to watch, so keep that in mind before you go.
In just about a month we will be headed on a trip to London, Ireland and Iceland. Our good friends are getting married in Reykjavic, Iceland so we decided to make a trip out of it. We’re renting a car in Ireland and Iceland and basically driving around to as many sites as possible. Our main objective? To see the Northern Lights.
Side note: I really need to learn how to pronounce Reykyavic before we go.
Our itinerary is relatively set at this point since we needed to work out of logistics ahead of time. However, if you have any recommendations on things to see, restaurants to visit, etc please leave them down below!
