I know, this post is LONG overdue. Now I can’t even remember how I managed to get these up every week. Probably because I enjoy writing these the most. And since it’s been quite some time, there is a lot to confess!
This is essentially a month late but: I woke up early to look at the items for the infamous Nordstrom sale. Later that morning I felt pretty ridiculous for waking up early for a sale. That was until I realized every blogger and their momma was up until 3am posting about the sale.
Speaking of the sale, I confess I was extremely disappointed with the sale items. Particularly the beauty products. So much that I didn’t do a single post about it.
This may be because I follow a lot of bloggers on social media but I was pretty annoyed with all Nordstrom sale related. I get it, a lot of bloggers make an income through affiliate links (and that is truly amazing). However, it was all a bit much for me. You would have thought the sale required some secret passcode and you need to access items through a blog. It was insanity – people putting up their sale picks FOR EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY. Jeez it’s not like the sale is thousands upon thousands of pages that you need to scroll through. I’m pretty sure most people can make it through 6 pages of shoes themselves. Don’t think we need “Bootie picks”, “Pump picks”, “Over The Knee Boot Picks” for a few pages worth of sale items. I’m sorry fellow bloggers but so many people took it WAY too far.
Usually when I go into the office I buy lunch. However, that doesn’t stop me from bringing a lunchbox for all my snacks.
A watermelon sat on our kitchen counter well over two months because neither of us wanted to deal with cutting it.
Similarly, a vase with dead peonies sat on the coffee table for at least 3 weeks before we threw it out. Yep… homemakers of the year here.
Our wifi wasn’t working a few weeks ago. When the internet man (this must be a profession) came over to fix it, he asked us to stream something on the TV to make sure the wifi speed was appropriate. My hubby randomly picked Moana since it was the first thing that popped up on Netflix. The problem was, the internet man left and we never turned it off. We spent the rest of the afternoon watching Moana. Two grown adults.
While at the grocery store I walked past a man on the phone. I overheard him saying: “AND THEN, my sister found out that her husband of SEVEN years….”. I swear I almost followed him around to hear the rest of the story. Grocery man, what did your sister find out about her husband?!
Our little succulent collection isn’t doing so great (this seems to be the fate of every plant we bring into this household). I realized that they weren’t getting enough sun because the trees in front of our balcony are very much overgrown. In a moment of desperation, I grabbed a pair of kitchen tongs to reach some of the branches, pull them towards me and trim as much as I could. At least our kitchen utensils are getting some use.
 I’ve never seen ET.
